The Bermuda Ocean Prosperity Programme team collaborates and works closely with local and international organizations, ocean stakeholders, and the public to make a comprehensive plan for future ocean health in Bermuda.

Sarah Brooks
Marine Spatial Planning Implementation Manager
As MSP Implementation Manager, Sarah brings both technical and programmatic expertise to BOPP, providing strategic support and overarching guidance for the design and implementation of the Marine Spatial Plan. She previously served as Senior Conservation Specialist at Warwickshire Wildlife Trust in the UK. Prior to joining BOPP in 2020, Sarah spent three years consulting on a range of research projects while sailing around the world, visiting over 30 countries.

Cheryl-Ann Mapp
Blue Economy Specialist
Cheryl manages Blue Economy and development for the Bermuda Ocean Prosperity Programme. She was a former Compliance Officer with the Department of Environmental Protection where she managed the Fisheries and Animal Wardens teams, advised on environmental compliance issues and facilitated relevant environmental advisory board meetings.

Thad Murdoch
Marine Resource Monitoring & Evaluation Technical Lead
As Marine Resource Monitoring & Evaluation Technical Lead, Thad is coordinating the development of the scientific assessment of the condition of Bermuda's marine habitats, biodiversity and environment. Thad is an accomplished marine scientist and consultant with over three decades of experience in coral reef and marine ecosystem research, monitoring, and management, primarily focused on Bermuda and the wider Caribbean. He formerly ran the Bermuda Reef Ecosystem Analysis and Monitoring (BREAM) Programme at BZS; and Murdoch Marine Ltd, a local environmental consulting company.

Fae Sapsford
Communications Manager
As a part-time Communications Manager, Fae supports the Communications Team in a broad range of communications assets. She is a Bermudian science communicator and runs her own science communications focused Instagram account, @Sargassogirl. Fae is currently pursuing a PhD in Maritime Affairs at World Maritime University. She has a BA in English with Creative Writing from the University of Nottingham and an MPhil in Anglo-Saxon, Norse & Celtic from the University of Cambridge, and her dissertations for both degrees were ocean-related. She has also completed a post-graduate diploma in law.
